Monday 17th June 2019
at Middle Street Resource Centre
from 7:00pm – 9:00pm
This Middle Street sessions are 2!
(There will be no restrictions on numbers this week.)
To celebrate this achievement we will be getting together to eat cake, chat about our favourite sessions and learn how to make an origami crown to wear and take away. You are welcome to bring along something you have been working, or your ideas for future sessions.
Sessions are free but if you can make a donation then please drop one in the small blue tin as you leave. No donation is too small and will be used to fund the Bee Creative sessions and support the valuable services that Middle Street provide for our community.
‘Bee Creative’ is a community based project that seeks to promote creativity as part of Creative Beeston. Our aim is to use recycled and donated materials wherever we can. The team of creatives that deliver the workshops are experienced and patient and offer a range of skills so they can bring you a variety of new things to learn. We are also pleased to invite members of the group to lead a session, with full support.
The merits of art and crafts on mental well-being have been studied and the work of the ‘Mental Health Foundation’ found substantial evidence that patients who are suffering with depression or anxiety found creative pursuits more successful in helping their symptoms than medical alternatives.
