Monday 27th January

Middle Street Resource Centre

7:00pm – 8:30pm

As this session didn’t happen before Christmas, it seemed like a good idea to re-schedule, gather together our ideas and start work on the next stage of the quilt project.

There will be squares for those who would like them and also larger panels for hand-stitching text to go with the quilt when we exhibit it. The text on these panels will be what has inspired you to join in with the project, what inspired your quilt square, why you enjoyed making it or something related to the project – you may add your initials if you wish.

Sessions are free but if you can make a donation then please drop one in the small blue tin as you leave. No donation is too small and will be used to fund the Bee Creative sessions and support the valuable services that Middle Street provide for our community.

Please indicate your intention to attend on the event page. 12 SPACES AVAILABLE on a first come first served basis. There will be a SIGN-IN SHEET AT RECEPTION specifically for BEE CREATIVE. Apologies if you do not manage to get a space this week.

‘Bee Creative’ is a community based project that seeks to promote creativity as part of Creative Beeston. Our aim is to use recycled and donated materials wherever we can. The team of creatives that deliver the workshops are experienced and patient and offer a range of skills so they can bring you a variety of new things to learn.

The merits of art and crafts on mental well-being have been studied and the work of the ‘Mental Health Foundation’ found substantial evidence that patients who are suffering with depression or anxiety found creative pursuits more successful in helping their symptoms than medical alternatives.
